On 2 February 2017, the leading lights of Belgian industry will gather for the third Factory of the Future Awards.
The Awards recognise Belgian manufacturing companies that have developed into successful Factories of the Future over recent years, among other things by achieving breakthroughs within the seven Made Different Transformations.
Is your company eligible for a Factory of the Future Award? If so, you can nominate your site by emailing awards@madedifferent.be.
What does the Award mean for my company?
- Recognition of your site as a Factory of the Future, with the publicity that this generates:
- Enhanced visibility on the Made Different and partner websites
- Use of the Made Different logo in your communications for the next three years
- Promotional film of your company
The Award is valid for three years, from the day of the presentation.
What is expected from a Factory of the Future?
- You inspire other Belgian companies to take steps to become a Factory of the Future
- The plant manager is present at the ceremony of the Factory of the Future awards on Thursday 2nd February 2017
- The company (site) delegates a jury member within the next 3 years to assess other candidates
- A representative from the company testifies at Made Different events (maximum 3 appearances)
- The company (site) opens its doors for guided tours (maximum 2 events)

Professional jury
The jury consists of four or five experts, as follows:
- One Agoria expert
- One Sirris expert
- One former Factory of the Future Award winner
- One or two external business or academy experts
Participation fee
- Companies with up to 50 employees: 1,250 euro
- Companies with over 50 employees: 2,500 euro
